Taking Shape

Some very important pieces of steelwork have arrived on site at our Crouch End project. Designed by Price & Myers structural engineers, the main horizontal beams and perimeter channels which form the dramatic cantilevering roof canopy, have now been installed by the main contractor. The complex geometry of the roof required a full scale mock-up to be built in timber before the pitched steel elements could be ordered.
JLT Construction’s John Thurley mocks up the complex arrangement of roof pitches.
The timber framed walls, which create an enlarged kitchen and living room to free-up space for a study, will be clad in Anthracite Zinc. Full height disappearing-corner triple-glazed sliding doors will open the space out onto the clients spectacular garden.
