The Hill House Passivhaus was back centre stage this week having been recognised at the annual RIBA National Awards.
In an impressive field of prestigious projects the house, designed by Meloy Architects, stood out for its low-cost approach to achieving Passivhaus credentials and demonstrating genuine low-energy living. APE director, Dan Gibbons, joined architect Charles Meloy and the project’s structural engineer Dean Ricks to collect the award which was presented at The Garden Museum, Lambeth.
The passivhaus self-build scheme, has already received three awards at the RIBA South East Awards, including Small Project and Sustainable Project of the year.
